MOLASSES COOKIE MIX: This recipe dates back to the early nineteenth century when plentiful molasses was used to extend or replace rare and valuable sugar. Using ingredients common to the era, we have produced a cookie with all the rich flavor of those baked in country kitchens 150 years ago.
SNICKERDOODLE COOKIE MIX: An all time American favorite, this enduring cinnamon sugar cookie has been enjoyed for generations. Each bag comes with it’s own packet of cinnamon sugar coating mix as well as the cookie mix. We are proud of this one! Definitely a crowd pleaser because of it’s light, sweet combination.
SUGAR COOKIE MIX: Our Sugar Cookie Mix is simple to prepare and yields a tasty golden vanilla cookie.
HUSHPUPPY MIX: Hushpuppies have been a accompaniment to fish and barbecue meals in the South for decades. This food once used to “quiet the pups” is now enjoyed by folds of all ages.
POUND CAKE MIX: Remember that pound cake grandma used to make? This is it. An old fashioned dessert that is good by itself, or a good base mix for you to “get creative.” We love to pair a slice of pound cake with one of our fruit sauces. Our mix is not only easy to prepare, but yields one of the most moist and tender cakes you ever have tasted. Yields a 1 pound loaf.
SOUTHERN PIE CRUST MIX: Using a fork or pastry blender, cut the butter into crust mix until mixture is loose crumbs. Spoon in the cold water, mixing to make a dough. Divide dough into fourths. On floured surface, roll a segment of dough to size of pan. Place in greased pan, pour in desired filling. Roll second segment for top. Ready to bake! Yield: 2 pie crusts.
