Milk Paint II Metals Make & Take is a hands-on class for anyone interested or experienced in working with milk paint. Class begins at 6:15PM and concludes at 8:00PM. Late arrivals will be accommodated and missed instruction will be provided in the form of a worksheet. There may be booze.
A brief refresher of the techniques and information taught in Milk Paint I will be given including: how to mix milk paint, how to layer and reveal colors, how to handle crackling, what to do about chipping, and how to wax. Care for pieces painted with milk paint will also be discussed.
Participants will be taught while getting hands-on with the mixing of milk paint, color theory and the customization of paint color, applying milk paint to metal, brush techniques including pouncing and creating texture, waxing techniques, and topcoats.
Participants will paint and take home a wall mountable metal keepers box perfect for Christmas cards, pantry items, laundry room supplies, outdoors for succulents or garden tools, and so much more. Roughly 15".
Comfortable clothing is suggested. Participants should expect to leave like Kristen paints - messy and with a feeling of accomplishment. Please do not bring or wear anything that should not be splattered or smeared. Looking forward to seeing you!
